Retro Relics changes
Retro Relic's Demo just received a new major update!
Thank you everybody who downloaded and played Retro Relics during Steam Next Festival October Edition! I got so much new feedback - good and bad, listened carefully and can proudly announce that many of your requested features and changes are already implemented. I can say, Retro Relics has never been in a better state and is on the final sprint before releasing end of the year.
What can you expect from the new demo version?
Running / Sprinting has been overhauled. As wished, the running speed is much faster now. I also (finally) added a custom sprinting animation:) no more power walking!
People had trouble to locate the exact spot to dig, so I added a little sparkle effect that fades away after a few seconds at the spot where the relic is hidden
I added a visual glow to the pinpointer during the digging mini game, so now you can play without sounds if you want to listen to your own music or a podcast.
New feature added to the demo: You can now purchase upgrades for the metal detector:
- Relic RadarAfter purchase available on tool slot 4. Use it to long range scan for relics within a bigger radius (also triggers the sparkle effect)
- Trash FilterUnlocks a new second detector sound if the relic is from the trash category. You can decide to skip this signal or dig it (if you like trash :D)
Handling containers with controllers is now easier: You can toggle through the containers by pressing LB or RB
Graphical overhaul of the tool icons
Fixed several bugs, crashes, glitches and bad design choices.
