UPDATE - v0.6.9.10

This update introduces the ability to set your captain and set-piece takers on the tactics screen, giving the manager more involvement particularly in the days before subs.

  • Added third option 'INDIVIDUAL' to 'View' tab on tactics screen. This will bring up a panel where the the captain and set-piece takers can be set.

  • Added ability to set the team captain and two understudies. Factors such as ability, age, time at the club and happiness factors will affect the effectiveness of a captain. For example a captain who values money above all else is unlikely to have the respect of all team-mates.

  • The choice of captain will affect certain attributes positively or negatively during games depending on how respected the captain is.

  • The choice of captain will also have an affect on your team’s ability to come from behind, again depending on his standing within the squad.

  • Added ability to choose up to three set-piece takers (six for penalties) for various situations. If you want a player to take all of a certain set-piece, you can set all three slots to the same man (except penalties). Factors such as crossing, creativity, long shots, finishing, technique, decisions and confidence will affect the ability of a set-piece taker, depending on the situation.

  • Reduced conversion rate for poor penalty takers

  • Increased quality of out-swinging corners slightly

  • Increased quality of direct free-kicks taken on same side as best foot

  • Prevented injured players who remain on the field from taking corners and free-kicks

  • Captain denoted in the ratings screen with a 'C' after player's name (only for matches played from this update onwards)

ISSUES ACKNOWLEDGED - WORK ONGOING

  • Most non-league clubs will play in red & white. Research ongoing.

  • If you finish in the re-election/relegation positions and are removed from the league, the game will crash rather than giving a game-over message.

  • The game is slower on Windows than OSX. We will set aside a few weeks for optimisation soon to improve the speed of the game on Windows.
