Reshine changes
Thank You for the Incredible Feedback on Reshine ❤️
Exactly 2 weeks ago, we released the playtest for Reshine, and thousands of you have already played, shared feedback, and helped us better understand what you love about the game and what we need to improve next.
First of all: huge thanks to all of you!
The amount of support and thoughtful feedback has been amazing, and we’ve been reading everything across Steam, social media, and community surveys.
Quick Look at the Numbers
With this playtest, we wanted to find out whether the direction we chose for Reshine is something people would actually be interested in and… boy oh boy, did you surpass every expectation we had.
We feel overwhelmed by how quickly everything has grown.
During this playtest alone, nearly 15,000 players participated, and 3,000 of you left feedback. This is far more than we expected or were prepared for.
Reading your thoughtful comments and seeing genuine interest in our game makes every day of hard work feel worth it.
What You’re Loving Most
With graphics, visuals, and atmosphere taking the number one spot, we know we’re doing something right.
You also praised the information pieces attached to each antique. We put a lot of thought and research into every single one, so seeing that appreciation makes us incredibly happy.
And of course, we can’t forget our friendly feline companion.
The cat completely stole your hearts and became the center of many of your feedback reports. Don’t worry as fellow cat enthusiasts, we’ll definitely be giving you more of it in the upcoming demo.
As for your favorite item, the clear winner was the Rotary Phone, with 77.3% of votes.
The Fox-shaped Cleaver came second (12.8%), while the Toy Elephant landed in third place (9.8%).Steam post image
What Comes Next?
Now that we’ve gone through all your amazing feedback, we have a much clearer direction on what we should focus on next: feature requests, pain points, and of course… more amazing antiques.
The number one request by far was introducing more paint freedom.
Because of that, we’ve decided to rework the current painting system and improve it with a cleaner UI, more flexibility, and a wider range of color options.
Secondly, after watching livestreams and seeing gameplay shared by many of you, we noticed that the hint system isn’t quite where we want it to be, so we’ll be giving it some extra attention and making a few adjustments.
Another thing we’ll be heavily focusing on is the cat.
We’re experimenting with making it more interactive and responsive to the player, so hang tight until the demo.
And of course:
More antiques.
The playtest gave you a good idea of what kind of experience we want Reshine to be, and we’ve decided that between now and release, we’ll create as many antiques as we possibly can without changing the price range we originally planned.
After digging ourselves out from under the massive pile of antique recommendations you sent us, we can proudly say:
We hear you.
And we’ve already decided to act.
That’s why…
We’re adding a tank to Reshine.
This is a joke. There will absolutely not be a tank in the game.
Final Words
And that’s it for the Quite OK Playtest.
Thank you a million times for your time, effort, feedback, and the mountain of love for Reshine. We’re building Reshine together, and your voice is heard.
The playtest will stay open until the demo is ready in about 3-4 months, so whether you feel like jumping back in or you’re just discovering the game now, have fun!
See you in the workshop.
Quite OK Team
