The Red Nun is back

Today marks a pivotal moment in our journey.

During the Future Games Show Spring Showcase in San Francisco, we officially pulled back the curtain on Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, the third chapter of the Remothered saga and conclusion to the survival horror story that began with Remothered: Tormented Fathers.

The game is coming later this year, and we’re incredibly excited to finally share what we’ve been working on with both long-time fans and newcomers to the series.

When we developed the first Remothered, our goal was to capture the tension and emotional intensity of classic third-person survival horror games, and the response from players around the world exceeded our expectations.

With Red Nun’s Legacy, we wanted to honor and respect this, so we at Stormind Games took the reins of the project’s creative direction, development and publishing, and started working on a game that will dig deep into the story and present new special skills that expand the gameplay pillars of Remothered.

“ Remothered was the first game we developed at the very beginning of our journey, and after our experiences with A Quiet Place and Mafia: The Old Country, we returned to the series because we couldn’t accept seeing Remothered fade away,” said our CEO, Antonio Cannata. “We decided to make this game out of a strong sense of respect and responsibility toward Remothered and its community, who thought this project had been abandoned.”

“ Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy will dig deep into the story and present new special skills that expand the gameplay pillars of Remothered,” said Game Director Antonio Cutrona. “While the game is a standalone experience that fans of old-school horror can dive right into and enjoy without playing the first two games in the series, it will offer the conclusion that long-time fans have been waiting years to play.”

In Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, nothing is ever exactly what it seems. As you explore the environments, you will uncover fragments of a forgotten past tied to the terrifying myth of the Red Nun, a character that those of you who have played the previous games may know well… Each room, corridor, and hidden chamber contains clues that slowly reveal a larger scenario, filled with horrors and answers.

While Red Nun’s Legacy concludes the narrative arc that began with Tormented Fathers, the game is also designed to be a standalone experience.

If you’re new to the world of Remothered, you can jump in and enjoy the full story without needing prior knowledge of the series; if you’re a longtime fan, you will find the answers you’ve been waiting years to uncover.
