changedGetting to this point has been a real journey, and I want to thank everyone for your amazing support and patience. Development on Remnants of R’lyeh is moving along well. As a solo developer, I take this project very personally. With help from Ultimate Games, I’m putting everything I have into making a high-quality, atmospheric Lovecraftian and Steampunk FPS.
changedBefore I get into the game’s mechanics, I’m excited to share that Remnants of R'lyeh will be part of Ocean Fest 2026 ! I’ve put together a short gameplay stream for the event, and I hope you’ll tune in to see the game in action.
addedThe game world is growing in both exciting and scary ways. I’ve been working on over six playable chapters that will take you on a wild journey into madness. You’ll get to explore all kinds of places, from dark underwater dungeons and classic Innsmouth-inspired areas to lost deep-sea ruins. To keep things interesting, combat will shift between land and underwater. I want to blend visual novel storytelling, fast-paced FPS action, stealth, and even mech and vehicle piloting. If you like exploring, there’s a randomized loot system, so searching every corner can lead to rare items and collectibles. I’m also adding lots of bonus content, like a bestiary, weapon collections, trophies, and maybe even a secret mode.
changedYou’ll need some serious firepower to make it through. I’ve added more than ten unique deep-sea weapons that mix Steampunk, retro-futurism, and Biopunk styles. Whether you’re using melee tools, shotguns, or strange organic weapons, I want each one to feel powerful and satisfying as you fight your way forward. You’ll face more than ten original enemy types, each with its own Lovecraftian look. I’ve brought classic Cthulhu Mythos creatures like Deep Ones, Dagon, and Star Spawn into the game , and I’m working on some tough boss battles that will really challenge you.

Whether you’re using melee tools, shotguns, or strange organic weapons, I want each one to feel powerful and satisfying as you fight your way forward. The most exciting and risky feature I’ve been working on is the sanity-based skill system. In Remnants of R'lyeh, your character is slowly taken over by strange deep-sea machines. This scary change gives you powerful new abilities, like ranged attacks and tentacles that burst from your body for big area attacks. But using these powers causes pain and slowly eats away at your sanity.

Stay strong and keep your mind sharp. Don’t let the madness win too quickly.
