Repeated intro

Hello runners! I launched reflex runner in September 2022. Since then, I have added some great new features, squashed a few bugs and posted some high score screenshots to the Community Hub. From launch day to the first update, I got to work creating the new features outlined below. In the future, I plan to stream regularly and continue posting new high score screenshots to the Community Hub as I set them. I wanted to post this announcement to cover all updates posted thus far:

January was a busy month, in January I added:

  • A new end-game area I call the "Hall of Fame" with league banners and play through stats that will show your overall completion data, such as total clear time and total deaths across all levels, as well as your average clear time and deaths per level. It will be fun to compare those stats with one another!

  • League Banners are displayed in your Hall of Fame and will unroll and be shown based on your overall deaths

  • Parallax level backgrounds

  • Updates to various sfx

  • UI fixes for issues found across multiple resolutions

  • A fix to the restart button not always registering on the main HUD

In Feb, I kept the momentum going with the Ghost update! This update added ghosts for you to race! You can race against your own ghost, which runs at your best clear time for each level, or switch to run against the developer ghost. I went through each level and ran a clean, 0 death run for you to have a real challenge!

In March I added new menu and in-game music provided by Charles Wolf Music to enhance the overall experience as the original music I created myself is not great to say the least...

This month I fixed an issue where the game music would not stop playing if the escape key was used to leave a game.

In that time, I also added a total of 70 achievements to the game. Some are easy, and some are difficult. None are impossible, all are fun!

Thanks, I hope to see some of your high scores posted to the Community Hub. Be warned, if any of my high scores are beaten, I will fight to take them back!
