Polishing The Red Chair: Cleanup Shift Update

Hi detectives,

The guy polishing the red chair in the storage room has now stepped into the game itself. This update is less about new content and more about a cleanup pass to make things smoother and easier to read.

Here’s what’s inside this patch:

🔧 UI & Readability

  • Tweaked several UI texts and icons to improve readability and alignment.

  • Fixed an issue where the mouse cursor could stay stuck on the screen.

  • Made interaction buttons on devices more consistent and stable.

  • Cleaned up some button feedback and hover effects so clicks feel more responsive.

🧪 Devices & Analysis

  • Fixed waiting time and freezing issues on analysis devices.

  • Resolved problems with some objects floating or getting into weird positions and causing bugs in scenes.

🕵️ Cases, Voting & Gameplay

  • Fixed a calculation issue when closing a case, so the result screens should now behave consistently.

  • Cleaned up several bugs that appeared during the imposter voting phase, making the flow more stable.

🎙️ Voice Chat & Controls

  • Fixed a bug in Voice Chat, so communication should be more consistent and reliable.

  • Added a Mouse Sensitivity option to the settings menu, so you can fine-tune the cursor to match your play style.

⭐ General Polish

  • Applied small performance and stability improvements.

  • Light, shadow and some transitions in a few scenes have been polished so the overall atmosphere feels more cohesive.

  • Behind the scenes, we’re preparing the groundwork for future cases and new content.

👋 A Small Team, A Live Game

Red Chair is a very new game made by a small independent team. We’re still growing, and we’re doing our best to bring you a stable and fun experience as quickly as we can. We aim to fix every issue as fast as possible, but since our team is not very large, there may be times when we can’t react instantly to every problem.

We also expect that a few bugs may still appear in the lobby, especially during certain edge cases. We’re actively working on this.

If you run into a situation where:

  • the lobby feels stuck,

  • the game stops progressing, or

  • the flow clearly breaks,

Quick workaround: Please close the game and restart it. You will not lose any of your progress or rewards during this, and since your round will have already finished, your in-game fun will not be interrupted.

This helps you get back into the action quickly while we work on a proper, permanent fix. Reporting these issues to us also helps us track down the root cause much faster.

🤝 Growing With Your Support

For Red Chair to truly grow into a game packed with new cases and features, we deeply rely on your support:

  • Sharing the bugs you encounter,

  • Leaving feedback on Steam discussions or our community channels,

  • Recommending the game to friends and showing it in streams

all make a massive difference for a small team like ours.

Thank you for standing with us and helping us polish the chair. The cleanup shift isn’t over yet; we’ll be back with more updates soon.
