RebreatheR changes
I would like to thank everyone who left feedback and suggestions about the game. I listened to many of them and decided to rebalance the game.
EASY MODE ADDED.
Now, when starting a new game, you are prompted to choose a difficulty mode. You can later change the difficulty in the game settings at any time (only a level restart is required).
If you already had a save file, Normal difficulty will be enabled by default.
Differences:
Easy Mode
Locator battery consumption reduced by 3x
Flashlight battery consumption reduced by 2x
DeadHead damage reduced by 2x
DeadHead speed reduced by 20%
Ghost spawn rate reduced by ~13%
Ghost speed reduced by 20%
Shark speed reduced by 18%
Gas cutter durability increased by 2x
Shark gameplay has been reworked:
The shark is now always afraid of the flashlight (previously only twice), regardless of difficulty.
Other changes:
Added heightmap blending to the terrain.
Added triplanar mapping to the terrain.
Removed single mines from the map.
Added several visual hints to make progression easier.
GAMEPAD BUTTON REMAPPING ADDED.
Now, when gamepad input is detected, the cursor is hidden until a keyboard pause button is pressed.
Added a jumpscare for the final artifact, which may help you notice the mines appearing around it.
Increased the volume of the AudioParticles system.
I would like to express my huge gratitude to all players who played the project and supported me. This is most likely the first and last major update of this kind. Going forward, I would like to focus on other projects. I will continue to support the game if there are any bugs or issues. If you encounter any problems, please report them in discussions or reviews, and I will try to fix them as quickly as possible.
Other news: the demo version of the game has been hidden from public access. I may bring it back if I have the time and desire to bring it in line with the main game.
