Reach changes
Players! Here is your first Reach update of 2026. In this patch we’ve prioritised fixes for the most reported issues you’ve sent us over the last couple of months.
Please note that some fixes - especially those affecting specific areas/environments in the game - may require you to restart the chapter for the fix to take affect post-update.
If you find a specific problem that isn’t addressed here or continue to experience issues despite reloading chapters or checkpoints, please let us know via email (support@ndreams.com ) or on Discord (discord.gg/ndreams).
We’re always available in Discord to help troubleshoot!
Going forward, we’ll be continuing to look at improvements and updates to Reach throughout 2026. Look out of for more info across the usual nDreams socials!
Here’s your full list of patch notes
Stability Fixes
Fixed a crash which could occur when returning to the main menu.
Fixed a crash which could occur when exiting the level after meeting Lithos.
Fixed an issue causing the game to enter an unresponsive state when loading save data.
Fixed an issue causing the player to get stuck on a loading screen.
Fixed several VFX issues which would lead to crashes.
- PS5Fixed an issue which could result in save data becoming corrupted or even deleted!
Progression Fixes
Fixed an issue causing the railcar to be in the wrong position leaving the player stuck on the track (known as the ‘Outskirts problem’).
Fixed several issues around the Powercore and fuses:
Fixes issue of the Powercore not being present after respawning if the player died while holding it.
Resolved several issues around fuses duplicating and disappearing.
Resolved an issue where Rosa would be unable to retrieve the powercore if the inventory included duplicated fuses.
Fixed an issue during a Lithos encounter where a door could remain shut after dying and reloading the previous checkpoint.
Fixed an issue when respawning which would see the player launched at huge speeds and result in them getting stuck in unexpected locations of flying out of the intended play space.
Fixed an issue where using chapter select would incorrectly remove progress towards finding all the collectibles. We now validate your collectible progress across all saves and will award the Trophy/Achievement once each collectible has been collected.
This fix should retroactively unlock the Trophy/Achievement if they have all been collected previously.
We also resolved an issue with one of the collectibles not appearing in the pause menu.
Fixed identified "death loops" where Rosa could fall endlessly.
Fixed several spots in the environment where the player could get stuck or escape the environment.
Platform-specific Issues
- SteamFixed an issue preventing Steam users in Korea from being able to launch the application.
Localisation
Resolved an issue resulting in Japanese and Korean text occasionally being clipped or not wrapping appropriately.
Fixed an issue causing a tutorial panel to display in English despite being translated.
General Notes
As noted above, there will be some cases where save games will still be in a bugged state - Chapter Select will be unlocked for all levels up to and including the one you have reached, but you will need to load your save first and then exit to the Main Menu.
We have had reports of stability issues with Steam Link for Quest. While we have been unable to reproduce these launching the game on numerous set ups we would suggest using Quest Link as an alternative.
