RAVENSBURG changes
Happy summer everyone! Is hot as hell in here.
Some time has passed since my last update. In that time I've been working non-stop on the new RPG I'm making on a ton of things: worldbuilding, lore, new drawings, new character designs, new skill system, new powers, and a new method for exploration and getting the side missions that makes every RPG player go insane. That's because my new RPG will be a mix of western CRPG + eastern JRPG. Ambitious, I know. But what is an indie dev if not the personification of unrestrained ambition?
But before I move on to show you the new system I prepared, let's head to the new update. As always, here you have a list of the most important features:
A complete overhaul of Astarte's route. Our man eating ghoul was one of the few characters left to update with new drawings, CGs, dialogues and more. I assure you that for those who are fans of the character this new scene follows the same idea as the previous route. Steam post image
This new scene comes with adds 20+ new CGs & variations, along with completely fresh dialogues in the characters' relationship.
Along with the new CGs, a frame-by-frame animation was added. This must be the first time I do a frame-by-frame animation old school style a la PC-98 for the CGs. Hope you guys enjoy it!
Remembering last night. For veteran players who have already beaten the game, the option to remember the past night was added, there you can recall the new scene without needing to load a distant save.
As usual, the update is retro-compatible with old saves.
Now let's go ahead to the skill system that will appear in the new RPG, Midnight Armageddon. For everyone's convenience, I managed to make an explanatory video summarizing all the main features of this system, which you can see it in action right away:
This system will allow the player to use their skills in dialogue rolls, exploring the environment, opening doors, locks, new places, and during combat or conflict scenes. My goal is to give as much capability as possible in the exploration of a Victorian city in the middle of the industrial revolution. Oh, I must add that these rolls will be more important during the investigations of the mystery you will face. I hope to have the new Steam page ready soon.
This is the end of the update, if you liked it and haven't done it yet, please leave a review for RAVENSBURG on the main Steam page. The visibility RAVENSBURG gets helps me keep developing both this and the next game. You can also join the game's Discord to gossip about vampires and tell your suggestions. Thanks, and until next time.
