Räv Kafé changes
Mr. Wincent Fox leaves the development of Räv Kafé's Core B version
Mr. Wincent Fox founded the idea and architecture behind Räv Kafé in late 2017 when the first sketches for the game were released. Earlier in 2018, the first pre-beta version of Räv Kafé was created, known as version "v2.02 - Core B", which is still in use today.
Mr. Wincent Fox himself has mentioned that "Core B" is the most original version of Räv Kafé as it retains its original design and architecture since the 2018 version. The developer has decided to move forward with a different "game engine" and start building on Räv Kafé's "Core E" version which should be a more well-developed version than "Core B".
Main reason for the change
The current game engine for Fox Cafe is somewhat limited in terms of some Logic, UI, HUD, Environment and Structures as well as other features that the game uses (it is mainly performance issues that caused Wincent not to over-develop the game). This version of Räv Kafé will continue to be developed as best as possible by the new developers from KällRäven (the Open- & Closed-source team behind FoxMask®).
So what happens now?
KällRäven will further develop Räv Kafé from the latest version "v2.03.18e_v2.3" that Mr. Wincent Fox released on March 26, 2026 and nothing is completely lost with this change in the game's development.
KällRäven is part of FoxMask®, which is the parent company founded by Mr. Wincent Fox and has followed his development of various projects since 2017. KällRäven themselves say that they will not change anything on their own without Mr. Wincent Fox or FoxMask®'s permission.
Räv Kafé will continue to receive updates and patches as expected!
