addedPause and Resume GamesIn a future update, we plan to add a proper pause and resume system. When you leave a puzzle, you will be able to choose "Save and Quit," and your current progress will be preserved, including filled-in numbers, candidates, elapsed time, and more. When you return, you will be able to pick up exactly where you left off instead of being forced into a loss. Our goal is to support this across the main game modes, so in most situations you will be able to stop whenever you need and continue later.
addedDrawing Tools During GameplayMany Sudoku players like to jot down notes, draw lines, or circle numbers on paper while working through a puzzle. We want to bring that same flexibility into the game by adding drawing tools directly to the gameplay screen. You will be able to color cells or candidates on the grid, draw strong and weak links, and add other visual marks to help organize your thinking on more complex puzzles. We want these tools to feel intuitive and easy to use, while staying out of the way during normal play.
changedMore Language LocalizationWe also want to make the game more accessible to players around the world, so we are planning to support additional languages. We are still finalizing which languages will come first and in what order, and we will share more details once those plans are confirmed.
changedOther Improvements and the Expected TimelineAlongside these three main priorities, we are continuing to work on many other improvements, including UI polish, bug fixes, and the suggestions players have shared with us in the community. We take every piece of feedback seriously, and we want the next update to address as much of it as possible.

Pause and Resume Games

First, we owe everyone an apology. Right now, leaving a puzzle counts as an immediate loss, and we know that has been frustrating for many players. That is on us. Rated Sudoku is built around a single-player experience, and it should not expect players to finish every puzzle in one sitting the way a competitive game might. Sometimes you simply need to step away, and that should not mean losing your progress. We completely understand why this has been upsetting, and we are sorry this has been an issue for so long.

When you leave a puzzle, you will be able to choose "Save and Quit," and your current progress will be preserved, including filled-in numbers, candidates, elapsed time, and more. Drawing Tools During Gameplay

Many Sudoku players like to jot down notes, draw lines, or circle numbers on paper while working through a puzzle.

More Language Localization

We also want to make the game more accessible to players around the world, so we are planning to support additional languages. We are still finalizing which languages will come first and in what order, and we will share more details once those plans are confirmed.

Other Improvements and the Expected Timeline

Alongside these three main priorities, we are continuing to work on many other improvements, including UI polish, bug fixes, and the suggestions players have shared with us in the community. We take every piece of feedback seriously, and we want the next update to address as much of it as possible.

We also want to be transparent: after many years of development, the project has grown quite large, and even small changes need to be tested carefully because they can affect other systems. As a result, development has been moving more slowly than we would like. At the moment, the next update is still likely a few months away, and we truly appreciate your patience. We will keep polishing and testing so the wait is worthwhile.

Thank you again for your understanding and support. If you have any thoughts or suggestions about these plans, please feel free to leave a message in the community at any time.

Everything above reflects our current development plans. The final features may still change, and the release timing may be delayed depending on development progress. Please refer to the final released version for the most accurate information.

Have fun, and enjoy the game!
