fixedWhat's new in October? For those aware of the bug issues that were present in the testing we had last, a majority of the issues have been fixed, but some remain as of now. Alongside fixes, we had a few other reworks and additions get finished over this last week. So far exciting stuff and can't wait to see what the month brings for the game.
changedWhat's new in October?Animation issues with the goblins where they would just freeze . A little unsettling, I imagine concrete sounds were playing whilst they moved across the board.
addedWhat's new in October?Added patchwork to the player guns and made it so you can no longer purchase upgrades for the gun whilst reloading.
addedWhat's new in October?Classic Shotgun is now back in the game and is fully functional, it had a lot of issues when introducing new player weapons into the pool.
changedWhat's new in October?Rifle rework - The rifle bullet now does slightly more damage, whilst it's second variant does slightly less.
addedWhat's new in October?New Card - Rifle Raptor (I realized that it was weird that the shotgun raptor would just randomly switch to a rifle, so I separated the two cards).

Raptors vs. Goblins has already seen pretty weird highs and lows to say the least. But I am happy to say that I am back to work on the project and am hoping to bring forward any and all news to you all about the status of the game and where it's currently at.

What's new in October?

For those aware of the bug issues that were present in the testing we had last, a majority of the issues have been fixed, but some remain as of now. Alongside fixes, we had a few other reworks and additions get finished over this last week. So far exciting stuff and can't wait to see what the month brings for the game.

  • Animation issues with the goblins where they would just freeze. A little unsettling, I imagine concrete sounds were playing whilst they moved across the board.

  • Finished rework of both the way Raptors are placed and the core way Goblins function.

  • Added patchwork to the player guns and made it so you can no longer purchase upgrades for the gun whilst reloading.

  • Classic Shotgun is now back in the game and is fully functional, it had a lot of issues when introducing new player weapons into the pool.

  • Sprite touch-ups on all particles, some of the dinos, and goblins, to match the current style of the game. More work needs to be done to phase out old temp art, but still one step closer!

  • Rifle rework - The rifle bullet now does slightly more damage, whilst it's second variant does slightly less.

  • New Card - Rifle Raptor (I realized that it was weird that the shotgun raptor would just randomly switch to a rifle, so I separated the two cards).

  • Healing card is now functional! (yay?)

  • Heavy Log Launcher Nerf (logs now have less health, and the launcher takes x4 as long to fire now).

  • Shotgun Raptor Rework - Gave the shotgun raptor the all new Slug Ammunition. High initial damage, but then the damage drops off after initial spawn.

  • Fixed issue where when a goblin collides with the end zone, others were still able to touch the wall and it would keep repeating the end sounds and animations.

  • Added a movable player on the main menu that can shoot the buttons to start.

  • Fixed issues with fire overlapping oddly with the troops and player.

And that's about it so far! Keep an eye out for anything related to the game! Will be posting more updates and am looking forward to hearing your feedback!
