changedMan, one thing we absolutely loved growing up were the Saturday morning cartoons. The pinnacle of non-educational entertainment if you were growing up in the mid eighties to late nineties was smashed right between 5am and noon every Saturday between multiple networks. And we're talking BEFORE Cartoon Network really took off. Cartoons like Duck Tales, which was one of my all time favorites when I was young by the way, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Tale Spin all hold that special nostalgic quality.
changedWhich is going to suck when we have to replace this with bespoke artwork, but right now the procedural assets in beta testing is fine. It helps give context, and as one of our long term beta testers and discord members said

But its obvious where a lot of the inspiration for the aesthetic came from here; Thunder Cats, The Transformers, X-Men: The Animated Series, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, and G.I. Joe. Late Gen X, early Millennials, even some mid-millennials (is that a description?) have some favorite now vintage cartoon favorites that we hold close to our heart.

I mean, the mechanics, I'm not really concerned with so long as they're solid*. I love it when I can look at a card and my brain starts trying to create lore. Because the art just does something to ya

So there's something at least to the consistent visual tone of what we're going for.

The Cosm!c Saturday lineup includes the following Cards;

Steam post imageAbraxas STATS:3 Cost / 8 Power ON REVEAL: Summon an Enemy card to their side of this location. Abraxas will destroy it if it is less powerful than he is.
Steam post imageD.A.I.L STATS:6 Cost / 18 Power ON REVEAL:Destroy all your cards at other locations.
Steam post imageNeonite STATS:1 Cost / 1 Power PERSISTENT:If your opponent does not play a card in this location, gain +1 power
Steam post imageSkyegosa STATS:6 Cost / 9 Power ON REVEAL:Remove the text of all enemy face down cards
