Rally the Parties changes
v0.3.0 is a major update that introduces a map selection system — the foundation for the updates to come. Through dungeons of different flavors, we'll gradually broaden the variety of play. As the first step, we've added two maps featuring missions with distinct objectives. We've also given enemies their own behaviors and traits to make each one stand out.
Map Selection System Added
You can now choose which map (dungeon) to take on at the start. Going forward, we'll use this system to gradually add maps with different flavors and broaden the variety of play. Random selection is supported as well.
Rescue & Seal Missions
"Rescue the Captives" is a dungeon where you rescue captives and have them join your party. It introduces sealed rooms that trap all who enter until every enemy inside is defeated. A captive held in a sealed room can be freed and made a companion.
"Break the Seals" is a dungeon with chambers waiting to be unsealed. Each sealed chamber restricts who may enter by gender, role, and party size, so only companions who meet its conditions can step inside. You lead a party of three from the very start.
More Distinct Enemies
We've given the enemies that appear in the later stages their own behaviors and traits, making each one's character clearer. The Dark Knight reliably blocks attacks from the front, the Dark Mage casts spells that strike several foes at once, and the Dark Priest heals its allies while also attacking with dark magic.
Improvements
Tuned and expanded combat sound effects, making it easier to read what's happening in the heat of battle.
Added descriptions for each setting on the map, class, and rank selection screen, as well as the options screen.
Reworked the reach of melee attacks and the range of block detection to feel more natural.
Bug Fixes
Fixed melee attack and block detection so that it matches the position and facing you see on screen.
Fixed an issue where some state was not restored correctly when saving or loading.
Fixed an issue where allies could fail to follow when moving between floors.
With this update, save data from previous versions can no longer be carried over. If you have save data from v0.2.1 or earlier, "Continue" will not appear, so we apologize for the inconvenience and ask that you start a new game.
We look forward to your feedback.
