Important Notice Regarding the Recent System Exploit Issue

This is the Ragnarok Online management team.

We would like to inform you about the recent issue that occurred in game.

Details of the issue:

We have discovered that items and zeny were acquired unfairly through unauthorized activities by a certain number of accounts.

Action taken:

• System vulnerability correction

We have applied a new build to prevent the issue during normal weekly maintenance on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

• Affected accounts

Permanent suspension of all accounts that exploited the system vulnerabilities.

• Affected items and Zeny

Thorough investigation and recovery of all items and Zeny from related accounts.

However, due to necessary care and time required to track the movement of both Zeny and the items, there are a number of accounts that are still temporarily suspended at the moment.

Please understand that due to the large amount of data being investigated, this process will take some time.

Furthermore, we have confirmed that the above issue does not occur during normal gameplay unless the user performs very specific odd behavior to perform the exploit.

Please be careful not to get involved with suspicious transactions or characters.

If you feel your account might be affected by this issue, please kindly contact the support team.

Additionally, since this issue was occurring in many other regions as well, we were unable to provide further details until the fix was implemented in all service areas.

Lastly, continued periodic and close inspections of the game system will be performed.
