addedWhy We’ve Been QuietRedesigning All Characters We completely redesigned all the characters in the game, improving their overall look and style to better match the new cyberpunk atmosphere of Quantic River. We also set up a new workflow that allows us to create and animate more frames much faster, giving the characters smoother, more detailed animations.
addedWhy We’ve Been QuietRebuilding the Core Systems With a much clearer vision of what Quantic River is meant to be, we rebuilt all our gameplay systems from the ground up. This new structure lets us develop features faster, tweak and expand mechanics more easily, and drastically improve debugging. The entire foundation is now stronger, more flexible, and ready to support everything we have planned for the future.
changedWhy We’ve Been QuietImproving Graphics and Optimizing GPU Memory Whether it’s 2D sprites, 3D assets, visual effects, or textures, we went through every element to refine and optimize it. We reduced the number of resources while increasing their overall quality, leading to better visuals and a lighter GPU footprint. This means smoother performance without compromising the look and style of Quantic River.

First off, a huge thank you for all the support following the reveal of our first gameplay for Quantic River. Your amazing feedback and the big jump in wishlists mean the world to us.

Why We’ve Been Quiet

Since the initial announcement, we've been a bit quiet, we took the time to rebuild the entire project from scratch on Unreal Engine 5.4. This overhaul allowed us to:

  • Redesigning All Characters

We completely redesigned all the characters in the game, improving their overall look and style to better match the new cyberpunk atmosphere of Quantic River. We also set up a new workflow that allows us to create and animate more frames much faster, giving the characters smoother, more detailed animations.

  • Rebuilding the Core Systems

With a much clearer vision of what Quantic River is meant to be, we rebuilt all our gameplay systems from the ground up. This new structure lets us develop features faster, tweak and expand mechanics more easily, and drastically improve debugging. The entire foundation is now stronger, more flexible, and ready to support everything we have planned for the future.

  • Improving Graphics and Optimizing GPU Memory

Whether it’s 2D sprites, 3D assets, visual effects, or textures, we went through every element to refine and optimize it. We reduced the number of resources while increasing their overall quality, leading to better visuals and a lighter GPU footprint. This means smoother performance without compromising the look and style of Quantic River.

New Collaboration: Brett Janzen on the OST

  • We’re also excited to announce a new collaboration:

Brett Janzen is joining the project to compose the original soundtrack. He is a brillant Canadian video game composer, content creator, creative visionary, and music entrepreneur.

Show him some love and support, check out his awesome music!

    Website: www.brettjanzen.ca Youtube Channels: B R E T T J A N Z E N F U T U R E S C A P E S

His Quantic River album will be available for purchase directly through our Steam page.
