QuadKings: Fog of Checkmate changes
We are excited to announce a complete overhaul of our AI system! Solo play and practicing against bots now feels more realistic, challenging, and alive than ever before. Steam post image
✨ What’s new in this version:
● New Difficulty Levels: Choose your challenge from 4 distinct levels: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Legendary. Each level adjusts
the bot's "thinking" time and its probability of making a mistake.
● Unique Bot Personalities: Say goodbye to generic AI. Meet your new rivals like Arthur, Diana, Sarah, and Victor. Every bot
now has a human name, a dynamic rating (ELO), and a unique avatar.
● Diverse Playstyles: We’ve implemented a new Strategy System. Depending on their personality, bots can now play
Aggressively (hunting your King), Defensively, or even like a Master—combining positional control with deadly accuracy.
● Bots Have Found Their Voice: Our bots now interact with you! Expect greetings at the start of the match and real-time
reactions in chat to captures, checks, and blunders.
● Fair Play (Bug Fix): We’ve fixed a critical issue where bots sometimes ignored piece cooldowns. Now, AI players follow the
same energy and timing rules as human players, making the game 100% fair.

Whether you are a beginner looking for a friendly match or a grandmaster seeking a "Legendary" challenge, the new AI will provide a much more human-like and engaging experience.
