Quackoban changes
Summer's here and another update to the Quackoban Demo has arrived!
TL;DR: Made some levels a bit less tedious, all levels now count towards progress locks, and less backtracking when you've finished a region with multiple ways back to the main island!
Changed
Level Windmill hopefully a bit less tedious with fewer required moves to complete.
Level soko... something also a bit less tedious with fewer blocks to move around.
Added separate review and wishlist buttons at the end of the demo, to hopefully make it more clear that you can do both of those things if you enjoyed the demo (please add a review even if you didn't enjoy the demo, it's really useful to hear what you didn't like about it as well!).
All demo levels now award you with an appropriate "item" which you need for getting past progression locks. Makes it easier to pick and choose which levels you want to play to progress.
The progression lock tiles are now more visually distinct.
"Ascenders" (tiles which allow you to move back up to the main island) now appear towards the end of each region as well, so you don't always have to backtrack all the way to the start of the region to get back up to the main island.
Removed
Removed unnecessary level selection routes that aren't used in the demo. This should hopefully make it more clear which levels are actually playable in the demo.
Fixed
Fixed a bug that caused incorrect music to play for certain levels.
Fixed an issue where opening links would occasionally cause the game to stutter.
Fixed a bug where an incorrect level pack would be loaded for saves that were created in the demo, but then loaded in the full game.
Up next
I've been hard at work with some bigger backend changes to the game but they hopefully shouldn't be too visible (if I haven't screwed up!). While I keep working on those things and getting the game ready for release, I figured I could push this smaller update with a few changes that followed some very useful feedback from players! See you later! Quack quack!
