I've just launched the new update for Pyramida, mainly addressing game-breaking slowdown issues involving roads. To make sure you have the new version, uninstall and re-install the game. There should be a new setting in the option-menu, that's how you can tell.

Optimizations
Fixed a freeze involving pathfinding on a savefile with a lot of roads. Most people who built a lot of roads would experience the game slowing down to a crawl or even freezing - this should be fixed now!
Fixed a bug where skeletons would do pathfinding too often, which slowed down the game.
Added an option to set the pathfinding's roads preference (from realistic to fast) so roads are still useable on lower-end computers.
Fixed a bug on OSX preventing it from doing a certain optimization: Mac users should now have a much smoother running game overall.
Farms are now culled when outside of the screen.
Other Changes
Added Steam Screenshot integration - press F12 to take a screenshot!
Fixed a bug where skeletons would become invincible after completing the game.
Fixed a bug where demolishing a gate would make it appear to be floating.
