changedWhere did Project Vesperi come from?As we stated in our Demo, we wanted to release what we built as students for free, to showcase what’s now possible with the rise of accessible tools and resources as students and indie developers. But since then, we’ve spent countless nights and weekends addressing the feedback from players of the demo and our friends and family playtesters, elevating Project Vesperi’s content quality to be a full indie-priced release that we believe the underserved branching narrative gaming community would love. It’s because of all the hard work and passion from our team that we’re proud to be launching Project Vesperi as our studio’s debut indie game. That being said, we will always have our Student Demo available to download as a showcase for what fellow students and indie devs can now create with the recent rise of so many incredible development tools and resources.

To kick off our second Steam update, we wanted to do a deep dive on what you can expect from Project Vesperi when it launches next month. If you’ve been wondering, “What is Project Vesperi?” then this update is for you! Let’s dig in!

What is Project Vesperi?

Project Vesperi is a cinematic branching narrative game where you play as Doctor Evelyn Roth, a Unified Nations of Earth astrobiologist sent to investigate a sign of life on Venus. When an intruder threatens the only habitable station on the planet, your choices will shape the fate of those around you—and humanity itself.

YOUR choices matter and impact the story, and determine who lives or dies! So, that means that burden is on you. Shoulder it well…

Key Features of Project Vesperi:

  • Experience a movie-length, highly replayable cinematic branching narrative

  • Make impactful choices that affect the story and decide who lives and dies

  • Explore detailed environments on Venus and beyond. Investigate Geyser Canyon Station to unlock new narrative paths and learn more about the world

  • Once you’ve played through the story, become the story achievement hunter of your dreams and discover all 10+ endings

Where did Project Vesperi come from?

Project Vesperi began as a student thesis in our team’s game development program and it has now grown into a small indie game. Before we were developers, we were avid players of the branching narrative genre, inspired by games from the likes of Telltale, Quantic Dream, Supermassive, and more.

As we stated in our Demo, we wanted to release what we built as students for free, to showcase what’s now possible with the rise of accessible tools and resources as students and indie developers.

We’re still hard at work to nail down the final polish and bug fixes, but we’re excited to get Project Vesperi into your hands next month!
