Project: rEvolution changes
The first public playtest for Project: rEvolution is officially live! Here’s some of what’s included in the playtest:
Tutorial System
We’ve added a full in-game tutorial to help ease players into combat, turret management, progression systems, and the overall flow of a run.
Playable Turret Critters
Players can experiment with our critters - deployable companions that can be strategically placed throughout runs to create different builds, synergies, and combat setups.
Confidants/Weekly Loop System
Meet Confidants, unique characters whose actions and events can significantly impact your run. Each week presents new choices and opportunities that can alter your strategy, pushing your build in unexpected directions.
Upgrade Draft System
One of the core systems in Project: rEvolution is the upgrade draft mechanic. Throughout a run, players draft upgrades that can drastically alter how their build functions, allowing for a wide variety of playstyles and combinations.
Enemy Evolutions
- In ProjectrEvolution, every upgrade comes with a cost. As players evolve their build through the draft system, the enemy types tied to those upgrades evolve as well, gaining new abilities and behaviors that can dramatically change how encounters play out. The stronger you become, the more dangerous your enemies can grow.
This is only the beginning of what we have planned for Project: rEvolution, but we’re incredibly excited to finally get the game into players’ hands and start gathering feedback from the community.
Thank you to everyone following development so far - we seriously can’t wait to see what kinds of builds, strategies, and chaos players create inside the playtest.
See you in the revolution. Feedback Form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScds9nhy27H3bdIJee-0tmNVPCnxDxROUkjFG5AZ1YD0_r5KA/viewform?usp=header Discord: https://discord.gg/hRThrpDzHD
