Changes:

  • Added the Supervolcanic Eruption disaster to the game!

  • The first supervolcanic eruption in modern human history. Originating at the Kikai Caldera in Japan, resulting in massive destruction and tsunamis hitting coastlines around Asia. The ash released will trigger a mini-ice age, resulting in power shortages and famine on a global scale.

  • Improved the naming of Research Tracks.

Balance changes:

  • Small change to Earth’s “Nature Pile-Up” decision in the Pest Control stage of the Locust Plague, to make the two cheaper options more appealing.

  • Small change to Industry’s “After-Effects Discovered” and “After-Effects Need Research” options, to make “Wait and see” option more appealing.

  • Large overhaul of internal systems that may slightly affect the balance. These changes will be offset in future (balance) updates.

Bug fixes:

  • Renamed server regions to accurately reflect both Hong Kong and Japan as viable options for Chinese players. Choosing the location closest to your location should reduce connection issues.

  • Fixed a visual error where Scientists’ funding received indicator displayed received funding for a self-funded research track.
