⚠️ All players need to update their game to play online
We have just updated the demo, improving many game aspects, including performance, some bug fixes and quests improvements. Below is the full list of everything that’s new.
⚙️ Optimization:
Optimization pass on bunker, hotel, parkings, offices tilesets
Optimization pass on Camp
Room transition should be smoother with less stutters
In total you may expect fps improvements across all expeditions
🛡️ Stability:
Door shuffle artifact effect should no longer cause error spam and nonfunctional doors
Situations when camp door broken on a start of expedition should be fixed. If you still encounter this bug we ask you to send us host player log
If you still encounter game crashes we ask you to send us player log
🔧 Player settings:
Added FOV slider to 'Graphics' settings
Added camera shake toggle into 'Game' settings (Camera bobbing when walking is still seperate toggle)
Removed 'Auto' setting for seamless doors as it caused more harm then normalize FPS
Framerate limit slider is disabled when VSync toggled ON as VSync overwrites framerate limit
Fixed some game sounds not obeying Master and SFX volume sliders (Game sounds should be more normalized across a game)
Changed camera sensitivity slider distribution to allow better control on lower values (0.01 0.1 values are much more easily set up with slider)
👾 Enemies:
Fixed some instances when enemy hitbox would linger in doorway for the rest of a expedition
Angel movement should be a little bit smoother on clients
Zombies slightly reworked on backend
🎒 Items:
Items dropped inside Labyrinth could be teleported after 120 seconds. This should help with items getting stuck behind geometry in unreachable places. (Relevant artifact effect still works as before on random intervals)
Items no longer forcibly teleported from backrooms (Items still forcibly teleported when dropped into abyss, into void, into deadly pits)
All quest items and key items (Or at least most of them) now should be trackable in holomap. Some appear in holo map as soon as found, some only when relevant quest is in progress.
This should include:
Hotel room keys
Records and books
Hotel wedding notes and ring
Fuel can and control room key
Door handle now cant place doors in close proximity of another doors (4 meters). Door handle now cant place doors inside hotel elevator.
Added some spots with guaranteed door handles
Gravity sphere charge reduced 60sec > 10sec
📜 Quests:
Expedition no longer retain your last seed until expedition completion. Expedition seed now should properly be randomised each expedition
Fixes to shadow quest line. Shadow should appear in his room as intended
Brain should no longer mutter hints after quest was completed
Added multiple spoken hints to hotel wedding quest
We were cooking something in zombie city, but we need to delay it more towards Next Fest. Bomb activity could be missing for now.
👁️ UI:
Added doors setup window with disclaimer and demonstration of seamless doors (Should appear only once per save)
Added handbook (previously database) to main menu
Voice indicators for spectators should correctly display speaking player
