The new Quality Assessment procedures will introduce a checklist and testing requirements for new updates (patch notes are not part of this QA procedure), Read more here:

What will this mean for future updates?

This will be active for the update 1.3, this means that updates will take longer to release, however this assures that the updates will be better quality on release, and relying less on the community finding bugs for post update patches. This doesn't mean that the updates will be perfect, as there still will be bugs.

Anyway that's it, stay tuned for 1.3 sneak peaks later on this week.
