addedGreetings to all our new and existing players! It’s taken us longer than we thought it would, but we are so excited to finally be able to bring the Workshop Update to Project AETHER!
addedThe highlight of this update is the mission editor. You will be able to create and customize your own levels, and share them with the community! You can mix and match any of the enemies that appear throughout the game, including 4 new ones we have created specifically for use in the mission editor. And to those players feeling adventurous, you can even edit various properties of the enemies, including their fire rate, movement speed and more.
changedOnce you have completed your masterpiece, head on over to the workshop section to browse missions created by other players. These are uploaded and saved using the Steam Workshop, but you can search for and play any level from in game.
addedOf course, we can’t give your enemies new and shiny tools without equipping AETHER with some new tools to play with. This update comes with 3 new weapons to unlock and 1 new EMP type. Each one has its own strengths that you can take advantage of:
changedArcbolt Rifle: This fast firing weapon will arc its shots to nearby enemies, making it most effective when firing into a crowd of ships.
changedCorrosive Spray: This lingering acid cloud can really rack up damage on slow moving ships that stay in its area for too long.

Corrosive Spray: This lingering acid cloud can really rack up damage on slow moving ships that stay in its area for too long.

Lightning Burst: This devastating electrical surge can destroy several enemy ships in a single blast, but it takes a long time to cool down afterwards.

Steam EMP: This EMP will cool down your weapons when it triggers, making it easier to use high powered weapons more frequently.

We hope that you have tons of fun creating and playing new levels. We’re very excited to try some of the stuff that you all can come up with! Happy hunting!
