addedAdded a new horse characteristic, its size. A normal distance will ride short on a large horse, and it will ride long on a small horse. This is specially important in combinations, where there is no time to adapt the canter. So you will have to ride combinations differently depending on the size of your horse: Use a somewhat extended canter with small horses, and a somewhat collected canter with large horses.
changedUpdated the jump animations. The jump now looks more natural, specially the landing.
changedUpdated the canter animations. The canter is more bouncy, the horse tilts more when turning at high speed, and there is a greater weight distribution difference (hind legs / forelegs) between collected and extended canter.
addedReduced the obstacle bar length to 3.0 m, and introduced two varieties of skinny plank: 2.5 m and 2.0 m long.
changedSmall rebalance in horse stats: Slight Balance increase for Comme Il Faudrait and Galoubet du Rouet, and slight Sensitivity increase for Uniting Touch.
changedIncreased the sensitivity of look right/left.
  • As you know, targeting a slightly short takeoff distance will force the horse to adapt its stride frequency, giving a jump quality boost (check out the Automatic Stride Adjustment section of the Tutorial for more information). Now horses are more tolerant of such short takeoff distances, and the effect on the jump quality is significantly stronger, so make sure you find the sweet spot!

  • On the flip side, if the takeoff distance is too short the stride length will be shortened upon landing. In other words, if you have a lousy approach to an obstacle make sure you bring back your horse to a good canter after landing.

  • Added a new horse characteristic, its size. A normal distance will ride short on a large horse, and it will ride long on a small horse.
