Dev Log 1 - How does it all begin?

Greetings Detectives

In the early 1900’s a wealthy man by the name of Nizar founded a securities company that provided private security to the upper echelon of society. Politicians, royalty and holy men were the kind of people Nizar surrounded himself with. Promises of wealth, status and safety was Nizar's favorite method of maintaining control over the people he interacted with. Nizar was held in the highest regard and always spoken fondly of publicly. But in reality people were just too afraid to stand up to him or challenge him. Nizar was a father to two children, Amir and Zara. Amir was always the perfect son. He was promised the proverbial “Keys to the kingdom” even though he was never the kind to bully or manipulate. Nevertheless Amir's character wouldn’t allow himself to fail his father or tarnish his legacy. Zara, however, was always the spoiled daughter who could never do wrong. Even though she was Nizar’s favorite in most people’s eyes she was never going to take on the mantle of the family name. After Nizar’s death Zara and Amir were separated. Zara taken away by her mother, Amir left to take on the family legacy all on his own.

As Amir got older and started learning more and more about his father’s life and his role in the family’s coming business. From the outside his father was the owner of a very successful security company but if you take a closer look his company offered much more than just security.

He learned everything there is to do in his father’s business and he was dedicated to being his successor. from common folk to the upper echelon, His father taught him how to talk and how to walk and Amir was very good at it. But with that came the dangers of that lifestyle. Learning everyone’s secrets made him a very feared man but also meant that he had a huge target on his back.

Now we are in the year 1960. Amir is the president of the securities company and is well established as a city and community leader. After successfully taking over his father’s place, Amir now knows what his father’s life was like and why he was how he was. Amir doesn’t know exactly how and why his father was killed but he understands what leads a man in that position to that unfortunate fate. And Amir feels as if he is going to face that similar fate soon.

Amir invited all his closest friends and family to a party at his house. Although he doesn’t see them as friends and family, rather allies and enemies. The reason for this party is a mystery, why did he invite this specific group? Who are these people? What are their backgrounds?

Many years have passed since and now that Nizar has been killed and for Amir many questions are yet to be answered. Who killed him? Why? And what is gonna happen to the family legacy?
