addedThis version includes a completely new main menu system which also supports some new features like multiple save files and completion percentages. However, we also added a bunch of new entities and mechanics at the same time. We added ice blocks that can freeze monsters and turn them into pushable blocks, occlusions clouds which dissipate when walked over and block monsters from walking under them, ground cover which covers things below them and can be swept up with a broom, and much more. Also this week we are going to be starting our first attempt at running a non-formal level design contest. We are mostly interested in getting ourselves and others excited to work on levels and to give enough of a structure that it should be easier to get started making levels. There's not going to be any prizes for the winners but we will announce the winners on our website and discord. If you are interested in participating checkout our website for the details: https://www.princesscastlequest.com/contest This is our first time trying to organize things but it definitely won't be our last contest. We are planning to try and do either bi-weekly or monthly contests with a different theme every time. The exact plan and format of these contests will probably change and adapt as we learn what works best.
