Prince of Suburbia - Part 1 changes
EDIT: The fans have spoken! We will be sticking with the OLD Semi-Realistic art style. Thank you for taking the time to comment and voting!
We would like your feedback on whether or not we should use a NEW Cell Shading style for the Prince of Suburbia Re-Impregnation DLC. If you didn't already know, Auxiliaryout is back and will be working on the Prince of Suburbia Re-Impregnation DLC. We're thinking about using auxiliaryout's New Cell Shading style (like he has been using for his game, Her Last Piece).
Below is a comparison for Catherine. The NEW Cell Shading style is on the left (post-pregnancy) and the OLD Semi-Realistic style is on the right (pre-pregnancy).
NOTE: The "thicker" post-pregnancy look will be applied to characters for the OLD Semi-Realistic style sprites if we keep it too. It's not exclusive to the new style.
Pros:
Faster than the style currently used in the main story of PoS
Doesn't require as much time to ramp back up on the original style that was used which would delay the DLC development
It's novel and more fun for us. This is a style that we hope/plan to use for future 2D games as well so it would be nice to keep on with it
Neutral:
Style has already changed with the Pregnancy DLC so things will be a little different regardless for the remaining DLC
Cons:
Lack of 100% consistency from the main story art
Please let us know with voting on this POLL: (STRAW POLL HERE)
and in the comments if you like the NEW Cell Shading style or would rather keep the OLD Semi-Realistic style for the Prince of Suburbia Re-Impregnation DLC.
