Press X to Not Die changes
We know, we know, it's not Press X to Not Die 2. But the good news is we're aiming even higher.
While it may not be obvious, Press X to Not Die draws large inspiration from the Wing Commander series. From the dynamic debriefing dialogue of the first two games to, of course, the FMV of 3, 4 and 5, Wing Commander is seeded throughout our DNA. Now we're paying homage to it more directly in our new game Star Squadron, a next-generation space combat simulator.
One of its key features is our Voice Mimic System, a direct successor to Press X to Not Die's Dynamic Dialogue system. Now, not only do characters have conversations that reflect your specific actions, through proprietary technology we developed that combines an actor's performance with voice synthesis, they can call you by your name and weave personal details you supply into their conversations, making the entire experience feel like it is uniquely your story.
Combined with seamless, first-person transitions from carrier to cockpit to space and back, a highly interactive narrative, and deep, branching missions, the entire game aims to achieve an unprecedented level of immersion.
And while our trademark humor isn't at the forefront in Star Squadron, if you watch through to the end of the trailer, you'll see it is definitely still present.
We’d love for you to join us on this journey.
Please wishlist STAR SQUADRON today — it helps us out more than you know!
