The tech tree has been reworked and we added 10 more technologies including new facilities and ways to generate power in your own country. There's now over 30 technologies, some with multiple steps like Fusion and Space based Solar. We'll update the screenshots so you can check them out. In addition to the new techs some are country specific and each country now has a more unique path.
We added a MOST EPIC MUSICAL SCORE to the game, seriously it's great! If you do need silence you can toggle it off in the game menu. I find myself pausing late game, admiring my what I build, watching the wind turbines and clouds pass by listening to the sound track. Other changes include:
You can now buy one more influence per turn, click on the Gems in the top bar on the game map screen.
If you didn't notice in the last release you can also build one more Wind, Solar or H2 Well per turn per Site but you will pay extra money.
Added the CO2 Products facility which takes some power but creates and equal amount of eFuel, this is a highly favorable ratio so the number of these is limited. It can be unlocked by the CO2 Products Tech.
There is now an additional technology after you Demonstrate Fusion to roll it out. So after you research that tech you will be able to build fusion plants.
Since there are more techs, most don't take as long as previously did to complete.
