POSTAL 2 Redux and POSTAL VR: Meet Champ

If you’ve been following POSTAL 2 Redux, you know Champ isn’t just another NPC.

He’s based on a real dog from the original POSTAL 2, calm most of the time but easy to set off.

“He was generally pretty chill, but very easy to set off. I witnessed him terrorize at least two visitors and one employee.”

The original model was rough and low-poly, but memorable. When we first rebuilt it for POSTAL 2 Redux, it didn’t hold up. It felt outdated and lost what made Champ stand out.

So we scrapped it.

For POSTAL VR, Champ is also being reworked with scale, movement, and presence in mind to support a more immersive experience when the time comes.
