What’s new since the previous playtest

This new build represents a major step forward, with big changes to structure, progression, combat, and content.

Here’s what returning players will notice immediately:

STRUCTURE UPDATES

  • 3 Acts

Runs now take you through three full acts, giving more progression, challenge, and variety.

  • Visible Reward Types

Every node on the map now displays the category of reward you’ll earn if you win:

  • Special Move

  • Super Move

  • Evasive Move

  • Passive Perk

  • Dynamic Enemy Scaling

Opponent AI behavior, health, and power scale based on:

  • where you encounter them on the map;

  • which act you’re in.

  • Improved Enemy Rewards

Defeating opponents now grants rewards that scale with act progression.

GAMEPLAY UPDATES

  • Medium Attack Added

A new button that expands neutral options, pressure, and combo routes.

  • Expanded Move Loadout

You can now equip:

  • Up to 4 Specials

  • Up to 2 Supers

All specials and supers can be executed standing or crouching, and some have air versions to explore.

  • Reworked Combo System

The combo system is now much more lenient, with universal "gatling" combos for all characters.

  • Universal Grab

Every fighter now has access to a universal grab, giving new offensive and defensive options.

CONTENT UPDATES

  • 40 Playable Characters

Up from 14 in the previous playtest.

  • Triple the Number of Moves

There are far more moves to collect, experiment with, and build around.

  • Signature Moves

Some fighters now offer exclusive Signature Moves that can only be obtained from them. Our goal is for every fighter to have at least one unique move in future builds.
