Political Mastery changes
I have been working on Political Mastery for a long time. From the outside, this process may look like just a game development story; but for me, it means much more than that. This project has been shaped by the effort, patience, and belief of the talented people I met over the years.
During the development process, I had the opportunity to work with truly valuable and talented individuals. Many of my teammates who contributed to the project had to finish their education and move on to different jobs due to market conditions and career plans. Of course, I respected their decisions; however, each departure seriously slowed down the development process. The team falling apart, the constant efforts to rebuild it, and the ever-changing dynamics made the progress of the game far more complicated than we expected.
On top of that, my mandatory one-year military service interrupted the project and forced us to effectively put it on hold for nearly a year. This period was challenging both in terms of motivation and finances. Without receiving any external investment, I tried to move forward entirely with my own resources and significant sacrifices. The friends who stood by me dedicated their time, energy, and extra working hours. In return, all they had was their belief in the project.
Unfortunately, some of the people we started this journey with — the ones we worked with until late at night — left the project without giving any explanation. Situations like these mean not only a loss of workforce but also a loss of morale and trust. There were also times when we lost valuable time due to amateurism and low work discipline. Through this process, I learned difficult but valuable lessons: how crucial it is to choose the right people, build a sustainable team, and maintain strong work ethics.
Despite all these challenges, I am proud of where we stand today. Yes, we have drifted away from certain aspects of the version we originally imagined. Yes, our roadmap has changed. But surviving this struggle and seeing that the project is still alive is a true success for me. Perhaps the greatest joy is witnessing a company that is just beginning to crawl managing to stand on its own feet.
Although I am still hesitant to give an exact date — because this time I want to be cautious when making promises — I can clearly say this: Political Mastery will very soon begin accepting players for its closed beta phase. Our goal is to launch in May.
This project is not the work of a single person; it is the product of people who sacrificed, believed, and refused to give up. We reached this point without any investment, entirely through our own means. That is why it is difficult to fully express the happiness and pride I feel today.
Very soon, we will meet you again with a refreshed, reshaped, and stronger version of Political Mastery. Thank you for being with us on this journey. This is only the beginning.
