Fellow Officers,

with the release of The Mission Update, we have made a few changes to the laws of Brighton. In preparation for the upcoming Contraband Expansion, our goal was to align justifications throughout the entire game more effectively. Additionally, we aimed to streamline procedures further to make them more accurate in comparison to their real-life counterparts.

Procedures are always part of routines. Breaking up routines can be very frustrating. In Police Simulator terms: Losing CP isn't fun.

That's why we plan to revert all changes and reinstate the same laws and rules as before the update.

To be exact, the following changes will be reverted to their previous state:

CP Loss for towing a car that was totalled in an accidentCP Loss for towing a broken-down carCP Loss for towing a car with invalid insurance in a traffic stopCP Loss for towing someone with a smoking tailpipeCP Loss for towing someone with a broken windshieldCP Loss for towing a car with expired platesCP Loss after performing CPR and providing a bandage afterwardsCP Loss for DUI Test but the driver was driving suspiciously (according to the game) and alcohol test turned out positiveCP Loss for DUI Test after driver runs a red lightCP Loss for performing DUI tests on drivers if you have them stopped for a general traffic violationCP Loss for pulling over someone who was speeding according to your own measurementsCP Loss for searching the cargo in a weight station based on hints by the gameCP Loss for detaining someone at a traffic stop when at a traffic stop calloutCP Loss for fake ID if asking was legal and you have conducted a background check for gathering the evidenceCP Loss for stolen ID if asking was legal and you have conducted a background check for gathering the evidenceCP Loss at vagrancy callout when NPC has a stolen ID and is being charged for that

We'll have more details to share very soon – including the exact time where the update containing the changes will arrive.

Once again, we sincerely apologize for all inconveniences.

Thank you,

Your Police Simulator Team
