changedThis update is not yet out just wanted to give a break down of whats coming Thanks to the helpful feedback from the MineColonies community, I’ve been able to gather a lot of insight into how the game performs across different PC setups. Unfortunately, it’s clear that performance is still a major issue for many players.
changedBecause of this, I’ve decided to delay the release once again. There are still many features I want to implement, but before I can move forward, I need to make sure the current systems are stable and running reliably. Optimization is now a top priority for upcoming updates. I've begun work on optimizing chunk loading and unloading with somewhat success. Chunks will now load and unload but for some reason 1-2 trees get left behind. Not sure why.
addedOne of the first areas I’m addressing is the limited variety in build styles. Right now, there are only two options stacked stone and wood/paper which doesn’t offer much flexibility. To improve this, I’m expanding the available styles and adding more decorative options.
addedNew build styles will include brick, stone brick, full wood, thatch, and scale roofing. Alongside these, I’ll also be introducing additional decorative pieces such as signs, flags, and furniture to give players more freedom in how they design their settlements.
addedSteam post image10 Flag styles, currently no way to change their color but might be a feature I look into later. Steam post imageSigns can be read with the interact key E. But For some I'll try adding the option to physically add text or images to.
changedSteam post imageNew Floor tiles and test walls. Here is a list of other features I am currently working on but are not ready for implementation. -Biome Generation
