PlanetMars3D: Spirit Mission changes
PlanetMars3D: Spirit Mission Demo is available now on Steam — and it will be participating in Steam Next Fest!
Explore Mars in 3D through real Pancam photographs from NASA's Spirit rover. Instead of browsing the mission as a flat gallery, the demo lets you move through curated rover imagery as an interactive 3D space.
The demo includes a selection of sample albums built from Spirit rover Pancam photos, giving you a chance to experience how PlanetMars3D: Spirit Mission turns real mission imagery into a game-like exploration experience.
In the demo, you can try:
Curated sample albums from Spirit's Pancam archive
Game-like 3D exploration of real Mars imagery
Progressive image detail that sharpens as you approach photos
Manual mode, slideshow mode, and automated flythrough
Multiple 3D views and layouts
Customizable viewing and quality settings
Whether you want to freely fly through the collection, step through images at your own pace, or sit back and watch an automated slideshow, the demo offers a first look at exploring Mars as a place — not just a gallery.
PlanetMars3D: Spirit Mission is a dedicated viewer for the Spirit rover Pancam archive, focused on making real Mars Exploration Rover imagery easier and more immersive to experience.
