Devlog #1 – Introduction & Vision of Planetiny
Welcome to the first official devlog for Planetiny.
This marks the beginning of opening up the project to the community as we move toward our first public playtests and, eventually, the Next Fest.
What is Planetiny?
Planetiny is a relaxing idle game designed to stay with you while you work, study, or take a break. The core idea is simple: a tiny living galaxy that evolves at your own pace, without pressure or urgency.
Your planets keep producing, your Tinies keep living, and your universe keeps growing even when you're busy with real life.
The Experience We Aim to Create
Planetiny focuses on calm progression, discovery, and gentle optimization:
Discover up to five galaxies, each with unique shapes and planets.
Collect 18 Tiny races with different rarities, colors, and levels.
Upgrade planets to permanently increase production and unlock detailed landscapes.
Optimize your galaxy by selling low-producing planets or Tinies.
Customize your ambience with Chill or LoFi music and layered ambient sounds.
Why We’re Making Planetiny
Planetiny started as a small idea: a cozy, customizable universe you can visit throughout the day. Something visually pleasing, low-stress, and enjoyable to let run in the background.
This devlog marks the first step of sharing that vision with all of you.
What’s Coming Next
We are still early in the public development phase. In the next updates, we will:
Finalize the internal playtest
Prepare for the upcoming Next Fest
Showcase more planets, Tinies, and core systems
Share deeper dives into art, design, and audio
Your feedback will help shape Planetiny as we move forward.
Support the Project
If Planetiny sounds like something you'd enjoy, adding it to your Steam Wishlist helps us reach more players and grow the community.
Thank you for joining us at the very beginning. More updates are on the way.
