We're so excited to bring you an updated, improved version of Planetiles with additions and tweaks based on your feedback. Steam Next Fest 2024 is happening between 5th and 12th February and during that time, you will be able to check out some of the most exciting upcoming indie games demos.

It's that time of the year again - the Steam Next Fest February edition! We're so excited to bring you an updated, improved version of Planetiles with additions and tweaks based on your feedback. Steam Next Fest 2024 is happening between 5th and 12th February and during that time, you will be able to check out some of the most exciting upcoming indie games demos.

One big demo update is the Photomode. It was already presented in our Devlog #6 so check it out and prepare to shoot some stellar photos of your settlements: available here.

Planetiles demo v3.0

Planetiles demo v3.0 will be available to public on Feb 5th, however if you'd like to receive earlier access, join our Discord and drop your request in Planetiles channel.

The new demo is getting improvements all around the place and to briefly introduce you to changes ahead of the official patch notes, here is a short list:

Added Settings in the menu
Added the Photomode with first person POV to explore the planet
Improved presentation and visuals during cataclysms
Improved technology screen UI and perks effects
Updated missions and structures stats
Minor bug fixes and performance optimisations

New Steam capsule and key art

As you probably noticed already, Planetiles got a new capsule and key art to better showcase the game's main gameplay feature - placing tiles and chunks on the spherical, planetary grid. We shared the new vs old comparison on Reddit, Discord and Twitter and the results are quite overwhelming with ~ 90% prefering the new capsule!
