addedIt's time to introduce a new way to entertain your guests! Get ready to create awesome arcades in your parks, complete with a selection of classic Atari® arcade machines! Update 9 for Planet Coaster 2 will be available free on all platforms on April 30th.
addedAlongside placing and building your own arcades, Update 9 includes the introduction of new flat ride blueprints, and new coaster track variations. We've also included improvements to Guest Feedback on Weather, Staff Zones, Heatmaps and, the ability to toggle coaster lights, alongside bug fixes - all to make your gameplay experience even better!

addedFeaturesArcade Games Included in Update 9 are 14 brand new Arcade Machines and a Prize Counter for guests to enjoy! Guests can win prizes from the machines directly or tickets which can be swapped for prizes at the Prize Counter. Park Managers can decide how many tickets and prizes their guests can win from their arcades. All Arcade Machines with the exception of the Atari machines, will come with colour customisation, allowing you to better tailor them to the theme of your park. Hayo Park Managers!

It's time to introduce a new way to entertain your guests! Get ready to create awesome arcades in your parks, complete with a selection of classic Atari® arcade machines! Update 9 for Planet Coaster 2 will be available free on all platforms on April 30th.

Alongside placing and building your own arcades, Update 9 includes the introduction of new flat ride blueprints, and new coaster track variations. We've also included improvements to Guest Feedback on Weather, Staff Zones, Heatmaps and, the ability to toggle coaster lights, alongside bug fixes - all to make your gameplay experience even better!

This update will also bring Planet Coaster 2 support to the ASUS ROG Ally / ROG Xbox Ally!

Update 9 Content

Features

  • Entertainment tab

    • A new Entertainment tab has been added to the browser.

    • From here players will be able to access the new Arcades content introduced in Update 9.

  • Arcade Games

    • Included in Update 9 are 14 brand new Arcade Machines and a Prize Counter for guests to enjoy!

  • Guest Weather Improvements

    • More guest thoughts have been added for Dryness

    • More guest thoughts have been added for Temperature

  • Heatmap Improvements

    • Adjusted heatmaps to improve the contrast to better distinguish between paths and buildings

  • Staff Zone Improvements

    • Adjusted the highlighting when painting staff zones to conform with the terrain

  • Toggle Coasters Lights

    • Coasters that have headlights now have an on/off toggle in their customise panel and an option to set it to night only

  • Track Triggers

    • Track triggers can now be applied to a specific train or all trains

  • Path Updates

    • Blue Swirly Path now has a second colour picker option: Path - Area 2

  • Pool Updates

    • A small pool heater has been added for shallow pools

  • Career Updates

    • Reduced the amount of medals required to unlock the next chapter in Career mode;

      • To unlock chapter 1 requires 1 medal

      • To unlock chapter 2 requires 9 medals

      • To unlock chapter 3 requires 15 medals

      • To unlock chapter 4 requires 25 medals

    • Career Scenario goals have been updated

Bug Fixes

We are continuing to review all your feedback and reports and will announce new updates and fixes when they are ready. In the meantime, do please continue to report any bugs on our Issue Tracker.

Audio

  • Resolved an issue where speakers set to 0% volume would play again on save/load.

  • Resolved an issue within music panels where preview audio would not stop once the player had pressed the confirm button. - View on Issue Tracker

Career Mode

  • Resolved an issue where the Cable Car would prevent objection completion in Just The Thicket.

  • Resolved an issue where notifications were appearing for items outside the park. - View on Issue Tracker

  • Adjusted goals in Garden of Edith to account for updated maintenance costs.

  • Added pool heaters to multiple career scenarios that were missing them.

Coasters & Rides

  • Special flume pieces can now have supports toggled off. - View on Issue Tracker

  • Vector Rotating Coasters axles adjusted to better conform to tracks.

  • Resolved an issue where Cable Cars would stop running after being seen by a mechanic. - View on Issue Tracker

  • Adjusted limit of F&N Thriller Industries Kid Coaster max cars to 8. - View on Issue Tracker

  • Resolved an issue causing Water Tracked Rides to gain scenery score at a reduced rate. - View on Issue Tracker

  • Resolved an issue where tracked rides couldn't reach maximum scenery score.

  • LSM Maximum Speed raised to 71.5 m/s (160mph/260km/h).

Localisation

  • Adjusted spacing when Additional Button Prompts is active in French.

Park Construction

  • Resolved an issue preventing staff access to Large Solar Panels by adjusting their path connection point. This will not effect Large Solar Panels placed prior to Update 9. - View on Issue Tracker

  • Power costs are now correctly updated when ride speed is changed.
