PIONER changes
Good day, comrades.
My name is Evgeny, and on the team I am responsible for restoring player accounts, recovering lost weapons and progress, as well as investigating game vulnerabilities. Since the launch of PIONER, our small squad has successfully processed tens of thousands of support requests and manually restored thousands of accounts. As you can see, I’m already familiar with many of your characters, and I’ve helped many of them get back on their feet after ending up completely "stripped" 🙂.
I’ve got some good news for you. Right now, we’re working on an update with a nice version number — EA 0.2.0. Yes, we missed our original schedule (sorry, the team has been going through a difficult period), but we’re still planning to deliver something really exciting. My colleagues will be sharing more details with you very soon, while today I’d like to tell you about the plans of my platform development team.
How we plan to improve the game and when:
— Server log optimization (coming in EA 0.2)
What is it, and why does it matter? Simply put, the servers will store less technical logging data.
For you, this means we’ll have to perform unscheduled maintenance less often due to server-related issues, and the servers themselves will become more stable over time. Yes, we’re just as tired of posting frequent maintenance announcements as you are.
— RPC and server call optimization (estimated development time: about 3 months)
We’re reducing the number of unnecessary internal requests between the client and the server.
For players, this means more stable game systems, a lower risk of network latency, freezes, and various synchronization issues during periods of heavy load.
— Save system optimization (estimated development time: about 3 months)
We’re improving the logic responsible for saving and loading player data.
For players, this means much more reliable progress handling: a significantly lower risk of losing save data, encountering incorrect character loading, or having corrupted data after logging into the game.
Thank you for your attention.
