Pink Noise changes
First of all, we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has already purchased the first episode. Your enthusiastic reviews and comments truly warm our hearts!
At the same time, we’ve noticed that despite having more than 10,000 wishlists at launch, sales are moving a bit slower than we expected. It’s likely that some players feel cautious about the Early Access format with episodic releases.
It’s important to mention that the first episode was developed entirely with our own funds, without any investors. In fact, most of the work was done by just one animator, one programmer, and one artist. Yes, it may be hard to believe, but the art has such a consistent style precisely because it was created by a single person.
Despite the large amount of work and the high quality bar we set for ourselves, we managed to complete the first episode and release it without critical bugs.
As for the Kickstarter, we launched the campaign very quickly, and the funding goal was intentionally small. The purpose wasn’t to finance the development itself, but to polish some of the animations in the final branching scenes we were working on at the time. Even despite internal issues with the bank while withdrawing the funds, we finished development ourselves and delivered all promised rewards to our backers. Those who supported us on Kickstarter can confirm this.
What about the next episodes?
All future episodes will be added to the same game, gradually expanding it. As new episodes are released, the price of the game will increase slightly.
That means purchasing the game during Early Access is a chance to get the full story at a lower price.
The scripts for the upcoming episodes are already complete, and we are very excited to show you the entire story, because there are many more interesting moments ahead. However, developing a project of this scale requires time and resources. So if you enjoyed the game, you can help us by:
leaving a review • suggesting Pink Noise to your favorite streamers • telling your friends about the game
This kind of support truly means a lot to indie developers!
Thank you for your support 💜
With love, Somber Games
