Hi everyone,

It has officially been one week since Piece by Piece launched.

First, thank you. Launch week has been incredible for us. Seeing so many of you jump in, solve puzzles, experiment, share feedback, report bugs, and leave kind words has meant a lot to our team. Releasing a game is one thing. Watching people actually play it, talk about it, and connect with it is something else entirely.

If you are connecting with it, we'd love if you could leave a review. Reviews make a huge difference to an indie game like ours, and we'd love to hear your thoughts on the game!

Piece by Piece You may have also seen all the love surrounding the other Piece by Piece game, so of course, we had to celebrate each other! You can now grab the Piece by Piece Double Bundle. If you want to support both teams, you can find it here: Piece by Piece Double A cozy shopkeeping sim and a literal puzzle platformer. Same name. Very different vibes. Somehow it works.

We’ve also just pushed a small post-launch update based on early feedback and bug reports. Here’s what changed:

  • Added Controller Vibration to make puzzle solving more haptic

  • Added an option to turn off Controller Vibration in the settings menu

  • Added option to add seams between connected pieces, making it easier to see the notches of each piece

  • Added Exclusive Fullscreen option

  • Window Mode option is now a dropdown

  • Languages dropdown menu is now smaller and scrollable

  • Fixed small dropdown menu showing a slider even when unnecessary

  • Gamepad icons for Options tab navigation now adapt their positions based on language

  • Added option to disable floating UI

  • Game version now only displays in the main menu

  • Fixed tutorial text not changing on mouse movement or input

  • F11 now changes to fullscreen, not exclusive fullscreen

  • Fixed an issue where the debug menu would appear when pressing F1 twice

  • Fixed some VSync issues

  • Fixed an issue where players could not jump out of a portal without being forced into it

Technical

  • Added DirectX 12 as a launch option (Most players should not need this, but it may help if you have issues running the game with Vulkan)

Thank you again for an amazing first week. We’re excited to keep improving the game and share more about what you can expect for the future of Piece by Piece in the coming weeks. Cheers
