About a week ago, I opened the playtest to the first group of people who applied for access. The amount of feedback I received was incredible, and I’m really grateful to everyone who played the game and took the time to share their thoughts.

Since then, I’ve been hard at work improving the game based on that feedback and fixing a ton of bugs. If you’re interested, you’ll find a full list of changes below.

If you didn’t get access to the playtest the first time, don’t worry! I’m currently working on some great multiplayer features, as well as quality-of-life improvements and additions. I’ll be opening the playtest to everyone soon.

Here’s a list of the main changes:

  • Improved painting performance

  • Added keybind, sensitivity, and painting settings

  • Added the ability to fully wash paint off brushes using the water bucket

  • Changed the default brush color from white to no color

  • Improved overall painting feel and responsiveness

  • Smoothed camera movement while painting

  • Added menu transition effects

  • Added a selection outline to better indicate interactable objects

  • Reduced the number of uses per paint splat

  • Added a new elevator model

  • Improved window views with additional decoration

  • Replaced some placeholder visuals in the atelier

  • Many more small QOL improvements

Fixed Bugs:

  • Fixed spray can not working in multiplayer

  • Fixed multiplayer join/rejoin issues that could break the game after returning to the main menu

  • Fixed exhibited artworks with multiple paintable parts (e.g., the mayor statue) not updating correctly after being placed in the gallery

  • Fixed various UI menu issues

  • Fixed multiplayer tool parenting problems

  • Fixed paint tube visuals not appearing for other players in multiplayer

  • Fixed paint tube being disabled when used while not aiming at a surface

  • Fixed an issue where tools could be switched while still using the paint tube

  • Fixed rare inventory bugs when switching items too quickly

  • Fixed thicker brushes applying paint at incorrect angles on some surfaces

  • Fixed multiplayer sync issues when using the elevator

  • Fixed backend issues that could cause rare crashes
