This is our biggest update to date and a major milestone for the game. We’ve performed a full engine overhaul, rebuilding core systems to improve performance, stability, visual comfort, and long-term maintainability. This update addresses many long-standing issues, especially around rendering, UI flashing, controller support, and replay desyncs, while also bringing full Steam feature integration online. This patch isn’t just about fixes; it lays the groundwork for smoother gameplay today and faster, better updates moving forward.

Engine & Performance

  • Overhauled game data and level data loading to significantly reduce initial gameplay stutters

  • Fixed multiple crashes and improved overall stability

  • Improved and streamlined game settings for clarity and usability

Rendering, UI & Visual Effects

  • Improved rendering pipeline

  • Fixed VFX flashes and multiple visual issues to reduce eye strain and improve visual comfort

  • Fixed flashing in the main menu

  • Fixed flashing caused by changing certain settings

  • Fixed particle system bug causing particles to get stuck on screen

  • Fixed particle system bug causing numbers to get stuck on screen

  • Fixed issue where health bars could display incorrect values

  • Fixed deck count tooltip incorrectly following the cursor

Audio

  • Fixed audio stutters for smoother, uninterrupted sound playback

Replays & Desync Fixes

  • Fixed bug causing deck counter to desync and display incorrect remaining deck count

  • Fixed bug causing replays to incorrectly display action timing and replay timeline

  • Fixed bug causing replays to desync and display incorrect room and card data

  • Fixed issue where replay ghosts could desync and show incorrect next moves

Controller & Steam Features

  • Improved controller navigation throughout the UI

  • Integrated Steam Overlay support

  • Integrated Steam Input support for improved controller compatibility
