Back to Work: Updates on Our Journey

It’s been a long time since our last update—May 2023, to be exact—and we wanted to finally break the silence. The truth is, the past year has been a rollercoaster for our team, but we’ve been stabilizing and are able again to work on our passion project. We’re still figuring things out as we go for the long run, but now we have a clearer short-to-mid-term direction.

This game is a mammoth-sized challenge, and for some reason, we thought it would be a great idea to make it with such a small team. As the great Gattuso once said:

"Sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit."

We’re Growing

This year, we’re also focused on expanding our team, bringing in a new writer and hopefully another developer. Making it a trio at the moment, and hopefully bigger by the end of the year. With the new writer on board, we decided to completely remake the story—and the quest lines along with it—which has helped give the game a much stronger foundation.

What’s New in the Game

We’ve also improved both the OS: further polishing it and adding a few Q.O.L. features for a more intuitive out-of-the-box user experience, as well as reworking the game loop—every in-game day now has more meaning, contributing to the story and making progression feel more natural.

Challenges Ahead

Of course, technical challenges are still a daily occurrence. The complexity of the project makes sure of that. But slowly, piece by piece, we’re pushing through.

We’re not here to make big promises or set expectations we can’t meet. But if there’s one thing we can promise, it’s this: we’re not abandoning this project. We’re going to keep working on it and turn it into something we’re proud of. Something you’ll enjoy.
