Super easy to use built in speedrun leaderboards!
Speedrun mode gives you a chance to put your Phantom Jump skills to the test with an any%, 112%, or individual world speedrun. Once you decide on the category you'd like to try you will be placed into a fresh game save with a minimalistic timer at the top right and once you finish your run, your time will be uploaded to the steam leaderboards. Q: What happens to my save file? A: Your normal save file is unaffected when you start a speedrun. Instead the game creates a new save file and uses that alternate file for the duration of the speedrun. However if you do an any% or 112% speedrun and get a better time on some level, that better time is saved to your normal save file to make sure you never miss out on any new personal best or world record level times. Q: What is Any%? A: Any% is a speedrun category where you try to beat the game as quickly as possible, so finding the best levels in each world to skip is needed to get the best time possible. Q: What is 112%? A: 112% is the do everything in the game speedrun. Your timer will stop and your time will be uploaded when you have completed every normal, secret, bonus, and boss level in the game as well as collecting all the hidden items. Q: Can I still use livesplit? A: Yes! We are adding support for livesplit in game time, so you can setup your speedrun splits and timer however you like or if you just want to keep it simple and just use the in game timer that's fine too. Q: Does the timer account for load times? A: Load times are not counted with the in game timer, so you can rest assured that having a faster or slower pc will not affect your speedrun times.
