You can hunt animals using almost any weapon you can get your hands on. Firearms, bows, and even tools like an axe or shiv can bring down prey. Getting close enough is often the real challenge, as many animals will flee at the first sign of danger.

After a successful hunt, the work isn’t over.

To properly harvest an animal, you’ll need a shiv. Skinning lets you collect valuable resources; nothing goes to waste. For those who want to showcase their survival prowess, Animal Head Trophies can also be crafted and placed as decorations.

So what kind of wildlife roams the forests?

Some animals are skittish and require patience and precision to hunt, such as rabbits, foxes, moose, and deer. Others are far more dangerous. Boars, wolves, bears, bison, and muskoxen won’t hesitate to attack on sight. Even a routine hunt can turn into a fight for survival!
