Pawnbroker Simulator changes
We’re happy to announce a new update that introduces a Player Stamina system and a completely redesigned Work Hours system. These changes make running your pawnshop feel more organized and realistic.
This update adds more depth and strategy to your daily routine by overhauling store management and player mechanics. Now, you’ll need to balance required business hours with strict off-hour rules to avoid fines from law enforcement. Running your shop isn’t just about making sales anymore. With the new Stamina system and the addition of a player home, you’ll also need to manage your energy or risk passing out from exhaustion.
We weren’t able to add new items in this update because building these core systems took a lot of time and effort. Instead, we focused on improving the overall experience. We’ve added a new Daily Summary UI (requested by many players) to help you track your progress and made important changes to item rarity, so legendary finds keep their value.
Thank you for your patience while we worked on these big changes to make the game more immersive and rewarding in the long run.

🆕 New Features
Work Hours System Overhaul
A brand-new system introduces three distinct time states, adding more depth and realism to how you manage your store.
🏪Business Hours
Weekdays: 09:00 – 18:00 (excluding lunch break: 12:00 – 13:00)
Your store must remain open during these hours
Closing your shop will result in fines from law enforcement
OKEI deliveries will not be made outside of these hours
A sign on the front door displays these hours
Not active on weekends
🚫Off Hours
Your store must remain closed during these hours
Operating during this time will result in fines
Applies to all hours outside Business Hours, except:
Saturday 09:00 – 13:00
🔓Free Hours
You are free to open or close your store with no restrictions
By default:
Saturday: 09:00 – 13:00
📜24/7 Trade Permit Changes
The permit no longer affects the nighttime customer count
Now extends Free Hours to 24 hours per day (except Sunday)
Allows operation outside standard business hours
Sundays remain fully restricted (Off Hours)
👥Customer Behavior Update
Regular customers (buyers & sellers) can visit the store at any time
Returning Pledgers (customers reclaiming pawned items):
Only visit during Business Hours
📜Daily Summary
Added a new Daily Summary UI panel to examine the results of a day
This panel automatically pops up at the end of each day
Player Stamina
A new stamina system adds immersion and consequences to how you manage your time.
🧍Stamina Levels
There are four stamina states:
Energized
Okay
Tired
Exhausted
How it works:
No major penalties in Energized, Okay, or Tired states
When Exhausted:
The player yawns
Vision becomes impaired
If stamina is fully depleted:
The player will black out
You lose consciousness and sleep for several hours
During time skip:
Stamina drains at half the normal rate
🏠Home Sweet Home
Added a player's home located down the street
You can sleep to restore stamina
Interact with the bed to choose how long to rest
Unlike time skip:
Your character sleeps and regenerates stamina until the selected time
🔧Improvements
Burglary is now disabled while the player is inside the store:
Time-skipping inside the store will automatically fail burglary attempts
If time is skipped outside, burglary can still occur
(Blackouts do not count as a time skip for this rule)
Added a short tutorial for older save files:
Triggered when interacting with the store’s open/close sign
Uncle Barry briefly explains the new work hours system
Only appears in existing saves (not new games)
Improved the rarity selection system when spawning an item for sellers to bring to the store. Previously, when the system selected a rarity — let's say "legendary" — it would spawn a legendary item and set its condition randomly. This would sometimes result in the legendary item becoming a rare item. From now on, the system will set the condition of the spawned item based on the selected rarity. Thus, when a legendary item is spawned, it won’t be downgraded to a lower rarity
🐛Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue that was causing the item specifications UI panel to stay on the screen forever
Fixed an issue that was causing buyers to leave their bought items behind if they were interrupted by the player
